Wreck This Journal Adventure! ♡

This book has rapidly become an online sensation as of late. Which to me is odd, a book? In this day and age? KIDS WANT TO READ BOOKS? You see my point. Its fantastic that something paper bound is inspiring kids and adults alike. I actually found out about this book a few weeks back but i have been inspired. Which if i am honest happens rarely these days. Thanks to the beautiful Bunny aka Grav3yardgirl i am going to start an adventure.

Bunny has decided to share her journal wrecking adventures with her (huge) YouTube fan base and i have decided to do the same thing. In short this isn't your average book.. it challenges you, makes you do things you wouldn't normally do, inspires creativity & destruction.
"Think of Wreck This Journal as the anarchist's Artist's Way -- the book for those who've always wanted to draw outside the lines but were afraid to do it.
For anyone who's ever wished to, but had trouble starting, keeping, or finishing a journal or sketchbook comes Wreck This Journal, an illustrated book featuring a subversive collection of suggestions, asking readers to muster up their best mistake - and mess-making abilities to fill the pages of the book (and destroy them).
Through a series of creatively and quirkily illustrated prompts, acclaimed artist Keri Smith encourages journalers to engage in "destructive" acts - poking holes through pages, adding photos and defacing them, painting with coffee, colouring outside." - Amazon Book description.
With over 100 pages i could easily split weekly videos up showing my 10 pages i have completed. Some tasks i can show on camera and others i can just explain. I love this. I have been looking for something like this in a while. Something to do away from the pc, to create, imagine and explore. Join me in this adventure?

You only need to take a second to browse Tumblr to really see how successful this book has become, so many people are uploading their completed pages and comparing the results with others, so i want to share mine :)

I purchased the box set from Amazon so after completing the first (Wreck this journal) i can work my way through the other 3 also. I really hope to learn things about myself and explore thoughts and ideas that i don't get to express on an everyday basis. All of my videos will be on www.youtube.com/beautaeyi with supporting blogposts :3

Thanks for reading and see you there, hopefully!
